For builders

Job management software for builders

Extensions, garden walls, kitchen and bathroom strip-outs, loft conversions and repairs: quoted with options, a deposit before you order, CIS on the invoice and the job run over as many weeks as it takes.

What you get

Where a building firm feels the difference

Building jobs run for weeks, bring in subcontractors and carry their own tax rules. These are the parts of FESK.UK for that.

  • Three ways to build the extension

With quote options on, offer a good, a better and a best version, each with its own lines and one marked recommended. The customer picks one and accepts from the link, and the chosen option becomes the job with its prices.

  • CIS and reverse charge, worked out

Switch on CIS and the deduction comes off the labour at 0%, 20% or 30%, with a rate per customer. Record what a contractor withheld and the invoice settles. Domestic reverse charge adds the HMRC wording where it applies.

  • Weeks of work on one record

Set the first and last day and add extra visit days with their own times. Drag the job and the days move together, and the Team view shows which of your people is on which site.

  • Merchant bills matched to the job

Record materials on purchase orders and receive them into stock. With the AI add-on, the supplier bills inbox reads the merchant's invoice, matches it to the order and flags any price that has gone up.

  • RAMS and asbestos prompts on site

Built-in RAMS cover brickwork and small extensions, strip-outs, plastering and general site work. On a building put up before 2000, the asbestos prompt comes up before work starts, and the answer is kept for that address.

  • The 14-day cancellation rules covered

For work agreed in the customer's home, the cancellation notice and form are emailed when the quote is accepted. Switch on early-start consent and the customer can agree in writing to you starting inside the 14 days.

It starts on your website, at any hour

Owen writes in the night. With the AI add-on, Front Desk replies and files it. Without it, Owen uses your booking link.

Part of our front garden wall came down in the storm. It's about three metres long. Can you rebuild it?
Sorry to hear that, Owen. I've noted about three metres of front wall to rebuild after the storm, and your photo. What's the best number to reach you on?

Fair questions

What builders ask

Can I bill a big job in stages?

Partly. A deposit can be taken when the quote is accepted. There's no stage-payment plan, so raise an invoice for each stage yourself, and the final invoice is built from the job.

Does it file my CIS return?

No. It works out deductions and records what was withheld, but the monthly return to HMRC stays with you or your accountant.

Do my subbies see my prices?

Only if you let them. Cost prices, sale prices and VAT can each be hidden, and staff groups decide which pages each person can open.

Does it link to my accounts?

Yes. It syncs with QuickBooks, Xero or Sage, with a duplicate check so the same customer isn't made twice.
