Security

How we keep your data and your customers’ data safe: UK hosting, encrypted connections and nightly backups.

Overview

You’re trusting FESK.UK with your business and your customers’ details, so security isn’t an add-on for us — it’s built into how the service runs. Here’s a plain-English summary of how we protect your data.

The short version: our servers are in the UK, every connection is encrypted, and your data is backed up every night with a copy kept off-site.

Hosting and infrastructure

FESK.UK runs on servers in the United Kingdom, with physical security, power and network resilience handled by a reputable hosting provider. Each customer’s data is logically separated from other accounts. Visits to the fesk.uk website pass through Cloudflare’s network on the way to our servers.

Encryption

Every connection to FESK.UK is encrypted, and sign-in passwords are never kept in plain text. The headline controls:

ControlHow we do it
Encryption in transitTLS / HTTPS on every connection
Sign-in passwordsHashed with a strong algorithm — never stored or logged in plain text
Data locationOur servers are in the United Kingdom. Some services we use work outside the UK, such as Anthropic for the AI tools. See the sub-processor list.

Access control

Inside the app, you decide who sees what: admins and staff get different views, and you can hide costs and pricing from team members who don’t need them. On our side, our staff sign in to the admin console with a password and an authenticator code, and what they do there is logged.

Backups and recovery

Backups run every night, and a copy is kept off-site at Cloudflare. A restore of the database is tested every month, because a backup you can’t recover from isn’t a backup. A copy of the database is also emailed to a backup mailbox each week. If the worst happens, we can roll back to a recent point with minimal loss.

Nightly backups, an off-site copy and monthly restore tests. We’d rather over-prepare than explain a data loss to you.

Monitoring

We log errors and keep an audit trail of sensitive actions, so we can spot problems early and trace anything unusual. Important changes inside your account are recorded so you can see who did what.

Reporting an issue

If you believe you’ve found a security vulnerability, please tell us before telling anyone else, and give us a reasonable chance to fix it. Don’t run tests that could affect other customers or access data that isn’t yours. Email support@fesk.uk with the details and we’ll take it seriously.
